Katke Golf Course
Ferris State's Katke Golf Course ranks among the finest University-owned golf courses in the United States. The course covers 6,674 yards of the gentle rolling hills that define the beautiful West Michigan landscape. Katke also offers one of the best practice facilities in all of the Midwest, including a three-hole practice course, a driving range with six target greens, and a chipping, pitching and putting green with practice bunker.
The PGM Learning Center/Katke Clubhouse sits atop the highest point in Mecosta County and looks out over the scenic Ferris State University campus. The facilities include a 1,000 square-foot golf shop stocked with golfing merchandise, a multipurpose room for small meetings or seminars, and men's and women's lockerrooms complete with showers and necessary amenities. Golfers can relax after a round of golf and enjoy sandwiches and beverages in the Founders Grille restaurant, or outside under the shade of an umbrella on the Parsons Patio.
Katke is situated on the western flank of the Ferris campus and is a neighbor to the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center, where guest rooms are a pleasant retreat after playing a round of golf. Bennigan's Restaurant is located in the hotel and offers excellent food at affordable prices. Katke and the Holiday Inn offer golf packages, golf outings and banquets and can accommodate any size outing from a foursome to a 144-player shotgun. |
